More About Attitudinal Healing
Do you know what determines the emotions you experience in a given situation?

Would you like to have a choice at any time, between experiencing conflict or peace of mind?

Attitudinal Healing (AH) empowers us to take responsibility for how we experience the events in our lives.  It demonstrates that our thoughts and attitudes determine our emotions.  AH helps reveal inner choices that allow us to be more peaceful and loving in any situation.

"All Problems Involve Separation, All Solutions Involve Joining."

AH is a gentle learning process in the form of a support group.  It is a non-denominational approach drawn from "A Course in Miracles" and first put into practice at the Center for Attitudinal Healing in Sausalito, California.  Dr. Jerry Jampolsky founded the Center while working with children and families facing life-threatening illness.  From an initial small group, the Center's program has expanded to over 120 Centers around the world.

The process is based on a set of 12 principles for operating our minds in a more harmonious and loving way.  The principles are "working tools" by which to choose love and healing, using relationships as the vehicle with which to come to greater consciousness.

The first principle is "The Essence of Our Being is Love".   AH helps us to experience that essence by practicing forgiveness and non-judgmental listening, as well as letting go of advice-giving, and the compulsion to be right.  Through the creation of a safe psychological space, each person is able to tap into their inner wisdom to find their own best answers to problems.

Attitudinal Healing teaches that it is not events and people that determine our experience of life - rather, it is our beliefs and judgments about people and events that determines whether we feel peaceful or experience conflict and fear.

If you have an interest in experiencing inner peace, rather than conflict, and more love rather than fear, join us at one our introductory meetings.  The only prerequisite is a willingness to see things differently.  With that, we can learn from each other how to find our inner peace and to create a more peaceful world.
